The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, seeks Transportation Security Inspectors to protect the aviation network by conducting inspections, security assessments, and regulatory reviews at airports, carriers, and cargo facilities.

You will evaluate security programs, inspect processes and records, identify vulnerabilities, review documents, and prepare detailed reports to support corrective actions and enforcement within your authority.

Formación

• Specialized inspections, regulatory reviews, or security assessments experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply transportation-security laws, regulations and policies.
• Experience evaluating security programs, controls, or corrective-action plans.
• Ability to document findings and prepare technical or investigative reports.
• Strong communication with regulated organizations and stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct inspections, security assessments, and regulatory-compliance reviews.
• Evaluate airport, airline, and cargo security programs and procedures.
• Inspect security processes, records, systems, facilities, and equipment.
• Identify vulnerabilities and compliance concerns against established standards.
• Review documents and collect information related to inspections or investigations.
• Prepare detailed reports explaining findings, evidence, and required follow-up.
• Recommend or initiate corrective and enforcement actions within authority.
• Respond to security incidents, suspected violations, and emerging threats.
• Participate in approved security tests, exercises, and vulnerability assessments.
• Provide regulatory guidance to airport authorities, carriers, cargo operators, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with TSA personnel and other law-enforcement agencies.
