Job summary

A premier aviation organization is seeking an experienced Aviation Safety Staff Engineer for its McLean, Virginia office. This role involves liaising with governmental and industry stakeholders, requiring a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering and significant experience in aviation regulations. The ideal candidate should be adept in aircraft safety policies, demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills, and manage both engineering and policy elements effectively in a collaborative setting. Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in the civilian aviation industry preferred.
• Must understand U.S. and Canadian Aviation Regulations.
• Experience with Part 25 airplane design/certification and Part 121 operations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide staff coordination with government and industry stakeholders.
• Analyze Airworthiness Directives and develop recommended actions.
• Develop communications outlining ALPA positions on safety issues.
