Job summary

The Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation, seeks a Supervisory Aviation Safety Specialist (Section Front-Line Manager) to lead a section within the Flight Technologies and Procedures Division.

You will supervise staff, plan and oversee NAS safety programs, evaluate CNS/ATM initiatives, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliant, effective aviation safety operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff in aviation safety programs.
• Knowledge of safety management principles and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Plans, evaluates, and oversees aviation safety activities within the NAS.
• Applies broad knowledge of aviation operations and safety management to assess compliance.
• Oversees program management for aviation safety initiatives and policies.
• Leads collaboration to support safety programs across organizations.
• Evaluates analyses relating to CNS standards, NextGen, ATM technologies, and safety processes.
