Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Kansas is seeking a Repair Station Planner to ensure repair resolutions and work instructions are developed for operations. You will coordinate with DER, inspectors, and management to address regulatory requirements and customer needs, while ensuring accurate data and parts planning.

The role requires FAA Part 145 experience and knowledge of AMMs, SRMs, and related technical data, with familiarity in CATIA and aerospace manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience.
• Experience developing build plans and work scope to facilitate repair and maintenance of aircraft components.
• Experience with CMMs, SRMs, AMMs, IPCs, and basic tech data for maintaining and repairing aircraft components.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with the FAA-appointed DER for repairs outside of the manual repairs.
• Coordinates with inspection, technicians, and management for repairs and to address customer and regulatory requirements.
• Understands FAA regulations and repair station operational criteria.
• Reviews defects to determine repair resolutions found within the AMM, CMM, SRM, SOPM or other FAA-accepted data.
• Records repair resolution instructions in the repair station’s work order system.
• Reviews and plans customer work packages using approved technical data.
• Evaluates customer requirements and develops work instructions with customer-defined scope.
• Requests parts to be ordered through the work order system.
• Stays current on company, customer, and regulatory training.
