Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Denver seeks an entry-level Project Engineer to support aviation PM/CM activities. The role involves assisting the Project Manager with scope, schedule, budget, and risk management, along with quality checks and shop-drawings review.

Ideal candidate holds a ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in civil-related fields, with 0–2 years of experience. On-site work in varied conditions, with opportunities for professional registration and structured mentorship.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management from an ABET-accredited program.
• Basic computer skills with data entry into spreadsheets or databases and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions and walk long distances; willingness to observe construction activities.
• Professional registrations: E.I. or E.I.T. is highly preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in end-to-end project delivery across aviation projects, overseeing scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.
• Participate in quality control checks and review designs and drawings for accuracy.
• Assist in developing or reviewing project schedules and estimates.
• Coordinate operation within the organizational unit to align with policies and procedures.
• Review shop drawings, generate progress reports, and observe construction procedures.
• Document field reports, quantities for payment reports, and contract compliance notes.
• Research contract requirements to ensure work complies with plans and raises issues as needed.
• Follow safety protocols on-site and promptly report hazards.
