Civil Project Engineer

We have a career opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our growing aviation group in our Colorado division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience and experience designing aviation projects. The individual will develop plans, specifications, and estimates for airport agencies and private clients.

Denver, Colorado

The Impact You Will Have
  • Design responsibility for elements such as pavement, drainage, utilities, lighting/NAVAIDS, security, and fuel facilities
  • Responsible for project design calculation files and ensuring adequate independent quality‑control reviews
  • Manage the process of compiling and coordinating plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
  • Coordinate and review drafting and the assembly of plan sets
  • Develop and oversee task work plans for assigned team members
  • Engage in active team communication
  • Organize technical meetings among design staff
  • Perform occasional field construction observation, sometimes requiring out‑of‑town travel
  • Active involvement in professional organizations
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • Experience with FAA design standards preferred but not required
  • P.E. license in the state of Colorado or ability to obtain shortly after onboarding
  • Advanced use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D modeling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and design
  • Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
