Job summary

Landrum & Brown in Chicago seeks an motivated intern with a passion for aviation planning to join our dynamic team. Start dates available in January or May; you will support project managers in delivering airport planning projects that meet client goals.

  • Provides data requests and responds to information requests from senior staff

Job Summary

Landrum & Brown is seeking a motivated intern with a passion for aviation planning and development to join our dynamic Chicago team. This internship offers flexible start dates in January or May and provides hands‑on experience supporting project managers in the delivery of airport planning projects that meet our clients' goals.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works directly with clients on a variety of airport planning, noise abatement, and environmental/sustainability planning.
  • Participates and assists in organizing numerous community relations efforts and public meetings.
  • Develops and maintains electronic data sets and files and performs data analysis and comprehensive data reporting in a variety of tables, charts, and reports.
  • Prepares draft reports, presentations, schedules, meeting materials, and other deliverables based on direction from senior staff as well as individual efforts.
  • Provides technical assistance and is responsive to requests for data and information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Aviation Management or related field of study
  • Passion for the Aviation sector
  • Highly articulate with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical/technical skills
  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair and sustainable way.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge or interest in the aviation industry and airport operations
