Job summary

Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services seeks a skilled painter team lead to oversee coating of aircraft and parts, ensuring quality and safety. You will manage a crew, follow procedures, and maintain equipment per manufacturer instructions.

Responsibilities include coordinating tasks, matching mixtures, and maintaining compliance with FAA FAR Part 145 operations while supporting training and development for the team. This role requires flexibility for extended hours.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Airframe license preferred but not required.
  • Three years of finish coat experience in automotive or aircraft painting.
  • Understanding of hazardous material handling and disposal as related to the job assignment.
  • Basic understanding of FAA regulations pertaining to FAR Part 145 repair station operations.
  • Must be able to obtain airport SIDA badge.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.

  • Provides guidance, training, and support to painting team as needed.

Position Summary

This position leads and performs the coating of aircraft and aircraft parts with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other materials in accordance with company policies, procedures, specifications, and applicable regulations, while overseeing team performance and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Minimum Requirements And Qualifications

  • Must have correctable near and far vision
