Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer 2 for the Aviation Product team in Olathe, Kansas. This role involves developing mechanical solutions, testing, and overseeing projects through to mass production.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. Skills in CAD and a collaborative spirit are essential, and candidates with strong academic backgrounds will be preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent academics (GPA ≥ 3.0).
• Knowledge of CAD software and ability to model moderately complex parts.

Responsibilities

• Complete moderately complex mechanical designs for products.
• Model complex parts as an expert CAD user.
• Collaborate in design reviews and provide suggestions.
• Mockup and test mechanical systems for compliance.
• Estimate tooling and part costs for designs.
• Communicate with vendors for custom parts.
