Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated Aviation Mechanic to join our team in Panama City, FL. This onsite position involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and components, with strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires 3+ years in aviation/military maintenance, ability to read technical manuals, and proficiency with diagnostic tools and precision instrumentation. Travel may be required; secrecy clearance may be needed for certain projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in aviation or LCAC related maintenance, aircraft structures, powerplants, or systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools, maintenance tracking systems, and test equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.
• Experience with common hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as: Torque Wrench, Feeler Gauge, Micrometer, etc
• Experience interpreting written instructions and specifications.

• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
• Follow all applicable technical data, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Support operational checks, functional tests, and aircraft readiness evaluations as directed.
• Communicate professionally with MANTECH employees and MANTECH clients
• Perform miscellaneous assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
• Travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on military aircraft platforms.

• Familiarity with DoD maintenance practices and reporting systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse technical team.

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship required and an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance before starting

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

• Work in confined/restricted spaces.

• Climb and descend ladders.
