Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions is seeking an experienced instructor to design and deliver F-35 structures and electrical maintenance training for factory staff and field personnel in Fort Worth, Texas.

You will develop criteria, evaluate training effectiveness, and keep materials up to date, collaborating with SMEs to ensure content accuracy and alignment with current requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aircraft maintenance for F-35 structures and electrical maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver training for F-35 structures and aircraft electrical maintenance to staff.
  • Develop training criteria, evaluate effectiveness, and improve programs.
  • Perform data analysis, gather information for new training, maintain materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts for content accuracy.
  • Update lesson plans to reflect changes and new requirements.
  • Provide classroom instruction and hands-on lab sessions.
  • Work with supervisors to define training needs and certification requirements.
  • Identify training gaps by analyzing current and future needs.
  • Manage company-wide training programs and a comprehensive qualification record system.
  • Stay current on technical developments, training methods, and AV tools.
  • Prepare classrooms, set up equipment, and conduct classroom, shop, and simulator training.

GP Government Solutions has an immediate need for a Structures (F-35) /Electrical Instructor to support a large aerospace client in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time benefitted position.

Job Summary
  • Design and deliver training for F-35 structures and aircraft electrical maintenance and assembly to factory production staff and field support personnel.
  • Develop training criteria, evaluate effectiveness, and continuously improve programs.
  • Perform data analysis, gather information for new training, and maintain up to date training materials and aids.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate content.
  • Update lesson plans to reflect technical changes and new requirements.
  • Provide classroom instruction and hands on lab sessions to instill process discipline.
  • Work with supervisors to define training and certification needs, and recommend de certification when performance is substandard.
  • Identify training gaps by analyzing current and future operating needs.
  • Manage company wide training programs and maintain a comprehensive qualification record system.
  • Stay current on technical developments, training methods, and audiovisual tools.
  • Prepare classrooms, set up equipment, and conduct classroom, shop, and simulator training as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance for F-35 structures and electrical maintenance systems.
  • Instructional/classroom training experience delivering maintenance training for F-35.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training programs, both classroom and practical, covering technical knowledge of F-35 structures.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation manufacturing and sub assembly processes, including:
    • Reading aircraft blueprints and electronic work instructions
    • Drill, ream, countersink
    • Safety cable installation
    • Eddie bolt lock, bonded nut plate, solid/liquid shim installation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (considered a plus).
  • Experience as an aircraft manufacturing instructor, with strong classroom lecturing and hands on coaching skills.
  • Prior personnel management or leadership experience in an aircraft production environment.
  • Background in instructional system design (ISD) for aviation training.
  • Ability to write, edit, and produce technical instruction materials; support production operations by identifying training needs and delivering effective instruction.
  • Coaxial cable installation, cleaning, and repair
  • Harness installation, repair, and protection
  • Electrical bonding (bond meters, multimeters)
  • Wire connector techniques (soldering, wafer connectors, pinning, crimping)
  • Fiber optic installation, cleaning, and repair
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

General physical requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on location of assignment.

Assignment Location – Fort Worth, TX
  • Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
  • Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
