Job summary

Cotulla Education is hiring for an Aviation Maintenance Technical Training Manager to lead instructional development and coaching across AIM campuses. This remote, field-based role requires extensive travel to campuses and a strong background in aviation maintenance and FAA Part 147 standards.

The successful candidate will deliver onboarding, coaching, and professional development for instructors and program coordinators, ensuring high-quality education aligned with FAA rules and accreditation

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with A&P ratings is required.
• Minimum of five years of aviation maintenance industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAA Part 147 regulations and aviation maintenance education.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, train, and develop others.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to build trust and influence others without direct supervisory authority.
• Ability and willingness to travel 80–100%, including overnight travel.
• Residence within daily driving distance of an Aviation Institute of Maintenance campus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver onboarding and hands-on training for newly hired Aviation Maintenance Technician Instructors.
• Coach instructors on instructional best practices, classroom management, student engagement, and adult learning principles.
• Observe classroom and laboratory instruction and provide timely, developmental feedback.
• Partner with instructors to create individualized professional development plans and provide ongoing coaching.
• Facilitate instructor workshops, webinars, and professional development sessions throughout the year.
• Support instructors with lesson planning, instructional resources, assessments, classroom technology, and curriculum implementation.
• Serve as a mentor and coach for assigned Aviation Maintenance Technician Program Coordinators.
• Help Program Coordinators strengthen instructional leadership and coaching capabilities.
• Travel to assigned campuses for hands-on instructional coaching and operational support.
• Promote instructional consistency across campuses and assist with accreditation and curriculum updates.
