Job summary

Casey’s Aviation team is seeking an Aviation Maintenance Technician to perform aircraft maintenance and inspections to meet FAA requirements and Casey’s standards. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems, complete required documentation, support fueling and ground ops, and maintain hangar facilities to ensure safety and readiness for flight.

Job description

Join Casey's Aviation team as an Aviation Maintenance Technician! As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you'll perform aircraft maintenance and inspection activities to ensure company aircraft meet all FAA regulatory requirements and operational standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft systems and components; completing required maintenance documentation; supporting fueling and ground operations; and maintaining hangar facilities and equipment. You'll play a critical role in ensuring aircraft safety, reliability, and readiness for flight while promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft inspections, maintenance, repairs and modifications in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer requirements and company standards.
  • Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall aircraft systems and components to ensure continued airworthiness and safe operation.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and pre-flight/post-flight inspections to maintain aircraft readiness, reliability, and safety.
  • Complete and maintain accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, aircraft logbooks, and service program reporting requirements.
  • Support aircraft ground operations, including towing, fueling, servicing and updating aircraft databases and maintenance tracking systems.
  • Maintain hangar facilities, ground support equipment (GSE), fuel farm operations, and associated records to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment.
  • Coordinating with vendors, service providers, and facility maintenance teams to support aircraft, equipment and facility needs.
  • Perform aircraft and hangar housekeeping activities to maintain a professional, safe, and operational workspace.
  • Participate in routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:Starting pay range: $40.00-$52.00.Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Requirements
  • Valid FAA Airframe and powerplant (A&P) License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong understanding of aircraft mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
  • Builds positive working relationships and effectively communicates maintenance status, technical information, and operational needs with pilots, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy when performing inspections, maintenance activities and regulatory documentation
  • Consistently prioritizes safety, compliance, and risk mitigation in all aspects of aircraft and facility operations
  • Effectively identifies issues, troubleshoots equipment and aircraft systems and recommends practical solutions
  • Demonstrates reliability, sound judgement, and ownership of responsibilities to ensure aircraft readiness and operational excellence
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in noisy environments
  • Ability to occasionally travel for work assignments, up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and retain an airport AOA badge if needed
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and varying hours based on flight schedules, operational needs, and maintenance requirements
  • Must be able to respond to unscheduled maintenance needs and support aircraft availability requirements, as needed

Preferred:

  • Experience maintaining and servicing Cessna Citationaircraft
  • Experience operating and maintaining ground support equipment (GSE)
  • Experience fueling aircraft using over-wing and single-point fueling systems
  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance tracking systems and electronic recordkeeping
