Job summary

Dynamic Aviation in Bridgewater, VA is offering a DoD SkillBridge Aviation Maintenance Intern program. This internship provides hands-on maintenance training under A&P supervision, aligning with military pay and benefits during the internship period.

Working hours are Monday–Friday, 07:00–16:00, with a focus on practical aircraft maintenance skills while remaining compliant with program terms. Participants will learn to read manuals, diagnose issues, repair systems, and document maintenance,

Qualifications

• Must have technical/mechanical aptitude and良 a strong interest in aviation maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED is required; some college preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Coachability and the desire to learn and apply training are required.
• Self-starter with motivation and ability to work with minimal guidance.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and changing priorities.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must provide own tools at program end (tool list provided).
• Ability to crawl, work at heights, lift 50 lbs, and work in hangars and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical manuals and guidelines to learn basic inspection, installation, or maintenance tasks.
• Read, interpret, and follow technical data.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical problems.
• Repair aircraft systems and determine serviceability of parts.
• Inspect and maintain aircraft to meet company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain repair logs documenting preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Modify aircraft structures and components per drawings and publications.
• Replace or repair worn components using hand tools and testing equipment.
• Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components.
