Job summary

George J. Priester Aviation is seeking a Maintenance Controller to oversee maintenance coordination for Part 135 charter operations in Chicagoland, Denver, Tulsa or remote work.

You will ensure scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is completed on time and compliant with FAA regulations, while minimizing downtime and keeping aircraft airworthy. The role requires 3–5 years in aviation maintenance, an FAA A&P license (IA preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, and experience

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of aviation maintenance experience with focus on maintenance control.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness standards.
• A&P license required; IA preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities; ability to multitask under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Review and approve maintenance discrepancies and oversee timely repairs.
• Manage aircraft logistics including parts, manpower, and travel for field repairs.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with GMM and FAA regulations; initiate Return to Service when complete.
• Maintain up-to-date maintenance scheduling and align unscheduled repairs with operations.
• Support FAA inspections, ADs, and service bulletins; participate in vendor audits.
