Army National Guard Units is seeking a Computer Assistant (TITLE 32) at the Illinois National Guard facility in Peoria. The role focuses on administering and maintaining the ALE-P platform, guiding users in daily operations, and serving as the liaison between the AASF and external support offices.

Major duties include monitoring data integrity, restoring data, creating database inquiries, managing user access, and training personnel on system changes to ensure readiness and secure data handling.

Qualifications

• Experience required; education cannot substitute for experience in this occupational series and grade.
• No substitution of education for experience is permitted for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database files from external sources to ensure data integrity and applicability.
• Restore deleted data files as necessary and use SOPs in case of ALE-P failure.
• Create database inquiries to access local information stored in the ALE-P.
• Assign, secure, store, and maintain user IDs, passwords and access controls.
• Troubleshoot common laptop issues and assist users; train personnel on ALE-P changes.
• Ensure data is entered into the system through the LAN and safeguard data against unauthorized disclosure.
• Maintain unit parameters and aircraft/weapon systems authorization files for readiness accuracy.
• Coordinate data exchange between aircraft laptops and LAN computers to maintain data integrity.
• Oversee timely exchange of maintenance, supply and operational data.
