Job summary

National Jets Air Center in Fort Lauderdale is hiring a Line Service Technician to join our aviation team. You will greet, tow, marshal and park aircraft, provide ground power, potable water, and lavatory services, and deliver fuel as needed.

You will communicate with pilots and staff to ensure safety and efficiency on the ramp. You must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather, handle luggage, assist passengers, and support front desk coverage when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and background check.
• Successful completion of supervisor training levels.
• Passion for providing outstanding customer service.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather; flexible hours including mornings, nights and weekends.
• Able to communicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and via radio.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and POS programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet, park, tow, move and marshal aircraft arriving or departing ramp area.
• Provide ground power, potable water, and lavatory services to aircraft.
• Operate mobile refueling vehicles, and deliver fuel to aircraft.
• Assist de-ice aircraft due to inclement weather.
• Direct pilots using appropriate aviation hand signals.
• Carry out tasks such as fueling safety checks and report any visible damage.
