Job summary

V2X is seeking a technician to perform organization level ALSS maintenance on aircraft assigned to Patuxent River, MD, supporting the NTWL program. The role involves using manuals and diagrams to service survival equipment and environmental systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining logs.

Responsibilities include handling removal and replacement of components, inspections, and collaboration with other technicians.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aviation life support equipment.
• Familiarity with military publications, drawings and schematics.
• Understanding of safety rules and procedures.
• Must possess a valid US state driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to obtain Government flight line driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Utilize maintenance manuals, cards, schematics, drawings and directives to perform ALSS maintenance.
• Operate, troubleshoot, replace components on aircraft systems including ALSS and environmental systems.
• Inspect and repair survival equipment, flight gear and protective clothing.
• Perform duties in hazardous areas such as oxygen systems and engine fire extinguishing systems.
• Ensure maintenance actions meet government safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of flight line operations and procedures.
• Maintain ALSS history records and equipment files.
