Job summary

GA Telesis is seeking an experienced Lathe Operator to join our Medley, FL manufacturing team. You will set up and operate CNC and manual lathe machines to produce aviation components to tight tolerances, reading engineering drawings and work orders.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of lathe experience, familiarity with aviation-grade materials, and a solid understanding of machining techniques, inspection with micrometers and calipers, and safety standards in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of lathe operator experience.
• Experience with CNC programming and turning operations.
• Experience with aviation materials.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathe machines.
• Read engineering drawings and work orders.
• Perform turning and threading on metals like aluminum, titanium, steel.
• Maintain tight tolerances per aviation standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machines.
• Document inspection results and machine settings.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members.
