Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions, Inc. has an opening for an Aviation Instructor to support a large aerospace client in Ridley Park, PA. The role covers a broad range of aircraft electrical, mechanical, structural and systems topics and requires up to 50% travel domestically and internationally.

Prior heavy aircraft experience is essential. The instructor will design and deliver training, develop exams, and assess program effectiveness in a full-time, benefitted position based in Ridley Park,

Qualifications

• Education, training and/or prior experience in electrical, mechanical, or structures systems.
• Prior teaching/instructor classroom delivery experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% to various client locations throughout the U.S and internationally.
• Background/Experience in one or more of the noted platforms preferred: C-17, 747 or KC46.

Responsibilities

• Confer with management/client to understand work situation and determine training needs.
• Recommend an implementation plan for development of instructional methods and delivery of individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.
• Design outlines and training to address client needs by incorporating ISD/SAT/TSD processes.
• Select or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and references.
• Deliver training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialty.
• Design and develop exams to measure progress and evaluate effectiveness of training.
• Evaluate training programs and report on trainee progress.
• Travel to client sites as needed.
• This role may require work on multiple shifts.
