Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Flight Test Engineer at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL to lead planning, execution, data quality monitoring, and reporting for development and operational flight tests of aviation systems.

The ideal candidate has an ABET-accredited engineering degree with 3 years of related experience (or advanced degrees), FAA Class III medical certificate, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, with travel up to 50% for icing certification testing.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required with 3 years of engineering/test experience or advanced degree with 1 year experience.
• Must hold FAA Class III medical certificate.
• Must obtain Secret Clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor safety-of-flight for developmental/operational tests.
• Document flight operations and flight test developments.
• Perform data quality monitoring and data analysis for tests.
• Travel is required in support of icing certification testing each winter season.
