Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and rebuild airport service vehicles at the Dulles area. You will inspect engines, hydraulic and electrical systems and perform preventative care to keep equipment available for aircraft service teams on site.

Responsibilities include quality control checks on refueling equipment, safe operation of GSE, tire and wheel replacement, and reporting incidents promptly, with adherence to safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• Inspect and repair gas/diesel engines and hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and perform repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain records.
• Drive and operate refueling equipment vehicles and ensure safety in accordance with procedures.
• Provide preventative maintenance to equipment and timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow health, safety, and security policies.
• Program and understand the Rapid Charger functions, including Battery Monitor and BMID.
• Repair and replace tires and wheels and conduct DEC checks on equipment.
• Report accidents to Shop Supervisors and Managers and respond to radio repair calls on the ramp.
