Job summary

Tradewind Aviation is seeking an instructor to lead ground school for PC-12 and support the training program across multiple bases in the United States. You will assist the Director of Training with developing and implementing curricula, delivering engaging ground instruction, and assessing student progress.

The role requires updating training records, mentoring students, and collaborating with flight instructors to ensure cohesive ground and flight training.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience as an instructor or teacher in aviation training.
• Single-engine turboprop familiarity is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of aviation principles, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Initial Ground school curriculum for PC-12
• Assist the Director of Training in researching, evaluating, and implementing new or revised training systems, policies, and procedures
• Deliver engaging and informative ground instruction sessions covering aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation, weather, regulations, and procedures.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to gauge student comprehension and progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
• Collaborate with flight instructors and other staff to ensure seamless integration of ground and flight training activities.
• Serve as a mentor and resource for students, offering guidance and support to help them succeed in their aviation endeavors.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and training milestones, adhering to documentation protocols.
• Uphold high standards of professionalism, safety, and ethical conduct; be a positive role model.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn new software and systems efficiently
• Some travel required as needed at other training locations
• Ability to work flexible work hours and weekends
• Other duties as assigned
