Job summary

HumCap's client is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join their engineering team. This role develops and revises technical drawings using 2D AutoCAD, ensuring designs meet project specs and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent), technical school training, and at least 2 years of drafting experience, with proficiency in Word and Excel. Aviation or military project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Technical school training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years drafting/design experience.

Responsibilities

• Revise existing drawings based on redlines and markups.
• Create new technical drawings from sketches and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain drawings for aviation and military projects.
• Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate project status to engineering leadership.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet project objectives.
