Jet Aviation in New Jersey is seeking a Fuel Quality Control Specialist to help ensure quality, safety, and compliance of aviation fuel operations. You will inspect, oversee testing, review documentation, and monitor processes across fueling activities.

The role requires reading procedures, accurate reporting, and collaboration with line service and maintenance teams. Flexibility for shift work and weekend coverage is expected in this safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional aviation/quality education preferred.
  • Experience in aviation fueling or related operations preferred.
  • Understanding of aviation fuel handling, contamination risks, safe fueling practices.
  • Ability to read procedures, checklists, and inspection docs.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic PC skills for tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently in a safety-sensitive environment.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and shift-based assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor fuel handling and storage to ensure quality, safety, and standards compliance.
  • Inspect fuel farms, trucks, hoses, bonding equipment, and related infrastructure for readiness.
  • Review fuel QC records, inspection logs, and test results for accuracy.
  • Support or perform fuel quality checks per approved procedures.
  • Identify non-conformities and document findings for escalation.
  • Assist investigations and track corrective actions to resolution.
  • Collaborate with line service, operations, safety, and leadership to improve quality controls.
  • Maintain audit-ready quality records and corrective action logs.
  • Provide feedback and training reinforcement on recurring quality gaps.
  • Promote safety culture and environmental awareness in fueling activities.
  • Represent Jet Aviation with industry groups and regulatory bodies.
