Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is seeking an Electronics Technician to install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical and electronic equipment tied to airport operations. The role supports the Electrical Division at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) or Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

You will use specialized software and review plans for modernization while ensuring safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible experience in maintenance and repair of electronic equipment and systems.
• Four years of education, experience, and training in electronics, plus one year more in testing and repair.
• Full journey-level knowledge of installation, testing, adjustment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and replacement.
• Skill in using manuals, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer materials for electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic equipment and systems.
• Use specialized software to diagnose problems and adjust equipment.
• Inspect contractor work to ensure compliance with code and practices.
• Perform preventive maintenance on Fire Alarm, Public Address, MUFIDS, and related systems.
• Work planned and emergency outages; pull wire and repair cables.
