Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Electro Mechanical Assembler in Madison, AL to join a leader in aviation and aerospace. This is a full-time, 5-month contract position offering $27.35 per hour.

Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, on-site at our Madison facility. Assemble electronic and mechanical components, read engineering drawings, use hand and power tools, and perform quality inspections to meet stringent standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related assembly experience.
• Experience with soldering, surface mount technology (SMT) packages, and/or wire harness construction.
• Ability to work from complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Experience using microscopes for precision assembly work.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Work with components including modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Create initial layouts and perform assembly work using hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and other equipment.
• Use microscopes to perform detailed, precision assembly work.
• Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
• Perform quality inspections in accordance with established specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies and subassemblies as required.
• Support prototype or experimental assemblies and complete work under simulated conditions.
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, safety, and production standards.
