Job summary

ABX AIR is seeking a Configuration and Data Management Engineer to provide technical support for aircraft configuration control and data management. The role requires travel as needed to support the Engineering Department.

You will create and maintain CMMS records for aircraft, assemblies, capabilities, and part numbers, ensure proper applicability and interchangeability, and maintain compliance with FAA, OEM, and ABX requirements.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering or Eng Tech, or AS in Engineering/Eng Tech. May substitute 2 years toward a Bachelor’s with 2 years of aircraft maintenance/technical support experience or 6 years in maintenance with 2 years CMMS experience.
• Strong knowledge of Structures, Hydraulics, Avionics, Electrical, Pneumatics, Fuel and Powerplant Systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical data.
• Excellent written and oral technical communication; ability to discuss and resolve questions and issues.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain aircraft, assemblies, capabilities, and part numbers in CMMS.
• Maintain part number/assembly applicability, aircraft positions, limits, specs, and interchangeability.
• Ensure parts meet FAA, OEM, and ABX requirements for aircraft and assemblies.
• Develop and implement processes to support engineering and configuration control.
