Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Aircraft Composite Instructor to train on composite manufacturing and repair for a large aerospace client in St. Louis, MO. The role requires flexibility across shifts and up to 10% travel to remote US sites.

You will deliver training, assess competencies, and maintain materials, partnering with management to align training with government standards.

Qualifications

• Education or training in aerospace composites manufacturing and repairs.
• Experience with vacuum bagging, bonding, and resin handling.
• Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to remote US sites.
• Willingness to support any shift.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training using classroom, CBT, distance learning, simulations, and on-the-job coaching.
• Assess trainee competence to meet government and organizational standards.
• Navigate technical documents and blueprints related to manufacturing/repair.
• Collaborate with management to understand work requirements.
• Deliver training sessions on technical specialties.
• Evaluate trainee progress and maintain training materials.
• Prepare training areas to be teach-ready.

GP Strategies has an opening for an Aircraft Composite Instructor to support a large aerospace client in St. Louis, MO. We are seeking candidates who can conduct training covering a broad range of Composite subject matter. For this role, candidates need to be willing to support different shifts and travel up to 10% to remote US sites.

Job Summary:

• Conducts and performs training or solutions using the appropriate medium and method (classroom, computer-based training [CBT], distance learning, simulations, on-the-job [OJT], coaching, job-aids) to satisfy business needs and requirements.
• Assesses and tests the competence of employees in performing tasks requiring certification or qualification to comply with government and organizational standards and specifications.
• Expert in navigating technical documents related to manufacturing/repair documents and/or blueprints (detail, assembly, or installation drawings)
• Confers with management/client to understand work situation/requirements.
• Delivers training sessions covering specified areas of technical specialties.
• Evaluates training programs and reports on trainee progress.
• Maintains training programs and materials.
• Prepare training areas to be teach ready

Qualifications:

• Education, training, and prior aerospace experience in composite manufacturing and repairs, and skills as follows:
• Aircraft Composite manufacturing and repair, vacuum bagging process, wet layup, various bonding procedures, resins, cleaning process, inspection, material handling, and associated safety procedures.
• Must be willing to support any shift (with prior notification)
• Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time to remote US sites.

Assignment Location – St. Louis, MO

• Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Typing, communicating, repetitive motions.
• Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
• Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
