Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Aviation Midwest group. You will develop plans and specifications, analyze reports, and prepare cost estimates for airport design projects in a collaborative, client-facing role.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree and 2+ years of experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D and field tasks as needed. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or higher from an accredited college; ability to obtain within six months.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans and specifications for airport design projects.
  • Analyze and prepare engineering reports and cost estimates.
  • Perform drafting tasks in AutoCAD and Civil3D to generate plan sheets.
  • Assist with construction administration and inspection tasks, including fieldwork nights/weekends as needed.
  • Read FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data for project design.
