Job summary

McFarlane Aviation in Alaska is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our Palmer manufacturing team. This hands-on role fabricates and welds aircraft components to exacting standards, supporting pilots and operators in demanding environments.

You will assemble sheet metal parts using rivets, nuts, and hardware from drawings, maintain quality, and help meet production schedules while assisting with inventory and general production tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in hands-on mechanical or assembly work.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality craftsmanship.
• Reliable and team‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize, and solve problems independently.
• Comfortable using computers and basic Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sheet metal components using rivets, nut plates, and other hardware according to technical drawings
• Maintain a high standard of quality in all builds
• Work closely with the team to meet production schedules and ensure customer satisfaction
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate hardware needs
• Assist with general production tasks as needed
