Job summary

Farmingdale State College, through the Long Island Educational Opportunity Center (LIEOC), seeks adjunct instructors for an aviation training program. The roles split into two pathways: Aircraft Line Service Technician and Aviation Guest Experience/Customer Service.

Minimum qualifications include one year in FBO line service or related customer service, with a Bachelor's in Aviation Administration preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong organizational, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Minimum of one year experience as an FBO Line Service Technician.
• Minimum of one year experience in FBO guest experience or customer service roles.
• Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Administration is preferred for Pathways A/B.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, industry-aligned instruction to adult learners preparing for aviation careers.
• Provide interactive demonstrations using real-world aviation scenarios
• Maintain accurate academic records and give timely feedback
• Ensure instruction aligns with aviation standards and best practices
• Support student success through mentorship and career guidance
• Collaborate with program staff and adhere to LIEOC instructional expectations
