Sherwood Aviation, a recognized leader in Aerospace and Defense, seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and coordinate FAA-related financial records.

You will manage the accounting team, support budgeting and financial planning, and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely audits. Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and aviation exposure preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience including supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in aviation, aerospace, or regulated industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls.
• Proficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel.

Mansioni

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for timely reporting.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures.
• Prepare reconciliations and analyze financial results for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management.
• Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and FAA requirements.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, and Quality to record aircraft parts and maintenance costs.
• Support FAA inspections, customer audits, and regulatory reviews with financial documentation.
