Job summary

VSE Aviation in Independence, Kansas is seeking an Aviation Accessory Technician II responsible for maintaining limited fuel, oil, or air accessories in accordance with FAA data and instructions.

You will assemble, test, read drawings, generate data plates with a laser system, and document repair work orders. Collaboration with QA and engineering is required. A high school diploma and 2+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant technical work experience in aviation maintenance.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble limited fuel, oil, or air accessories.
  • Test accessories on provided benches, excluding fuel controls and governors.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and tools daily.
  • Read and interpret technical data and drawings.
  • Generate data plates using a laser system.
  • Troubleshoot and determine root causes of failures.
  • Document maintenance records for all repair work orders.
  • Collaborate with QA and engineering to resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
