U.S.-Fish- Biological Science Technicians perform field and technical work to monitor, manage, and protect natural resources, including plants, wildlife, avian resources, and their habitats. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge is April - October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.

Formación

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04 level.
• Bachelor's degree with major in biology or related field or 24 semester hours related to the occupation.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education that equals 100% of the standards.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct surveys of avian species or wildlife and record scientific data and reports.
• Assist in collecting and recording information on avian species.
• Assist in banding of avian species.
• Collect, identify, mark, and measure avian species as part of field studies.
