AV Technician - Up to 24 hours/wk. (BH-381785)

Salary: $22-25/hr.

Yoh is seeking an AV Technician - Part Time for a 12 month contract with our client within the Media Industry, Onsite, in Des Moines, Iowa.

  • This position is part time up to 24 hours on a busy week.
  • $22-25/hr. max pay rate
What You Will Be Doing
  • Provide support for conference room and Zoom support
  • Liaise with AV vendors when necessary
  • Support onsite Live Events
  • Assist with ad-hoc and team projects as needed.
Who You Are
  • HS Diploma and/or On-the-job experience as an audio or video technician
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an AV Technical support role
  • Ability to understand and interpret schematics, floorplans, and rack elevations
  • Experience with troubleshooting basic to intermediate AV issues, and acting with a sense of urgency during high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of audio principles
  • Experienced with dynamics processing techniques such as compression, equalization, limiting, gating, and filtering
  • Familiarity with time-based processing such as reverb, RT60, delay, and chorus is essential. A thorough understanding of signal flow, patching, and gain staging is required, along with proficiency in sample rate conversion, A/D and D/A conversion, and frequency spectrum analysis
  • Knowledge of audio playback, processing, and sound reinforcement, including experience with audio recorders and the operation of both analog and digital mixing boards.
  • Skilled in microphone operation and techniques, and placement
  • Familiarity with different types of Cameras i.e. PTZ, DSLR, and Professional Video
  • Experience operating Cameras
  • An understanding of visual principles such as color balancing, contrast ratio, screen resolution, scaling, frame rate, alignment, and aspect ratio and familiarity with projector operation
  • Prior hands-on experience with video distribution hardware and video troubleshooting, as well as proficiency in setting up and maintaining digital signage hardware
