Job summary

Nationwide Video is seeking a professional Delivery Driver to ensure timely delivery and pickup of audio-visual equipment. You will support client satisfaction by handling issues professionally and reporting to the Director of Logistics.

Responsibilities include operating company vehicles, planning efficient routes, delivering to correct addresses, and maintaining paperwork. Strong customer service, safety, and compliance with DOT regulations are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age and have a valid Class A CDL.
  • Hold or obtain a Class A CDL License and pass a DOT Medical Examination.
  • 3-5 years of experience maintaining a delivery route with excellent customer service.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles for deliveries and pickups according to laws.
  • Plan and complete efficient delivery and pick up routes.
  • Deliver products to correct addresses and maintain required paperwork.
  • Load and unload goods and materials as needed.
  • Interact professionally with clients as a liaison for the company.
  • Maintain truck mileage records and vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Travel to multiple Nationwide locations as required.

Job description

Overview:

This position will ensure timely delivery and pickup of audio-visual equipment. This position will support the organization by maintaining a high level of client satisfaction with the timeliness in which they receive their product and professionally handling any issues that may arise. This position will report to the Director of Logistics.

Essential Functions:
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Operate company vehicles for deliveries and pickups according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner while obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
  • Plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
  • Deliver products to correct address, maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
  • Pick up equipment along the scheduled route, including company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Load and unload goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return all equipment to designated area.
  • Interact professionally with clients, acting as a liaison for the company.
  • Maintain basic records of truck mileage and deliveries performed.
  • Ensure the delivery vehicle receives basic service according to the maintenance schedule and reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to the Manager as well as performing daily safety checks.
  • Works closely with Logistics and performs cross-functional duties with other departments.

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Work Environment:

Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and warehouse environments and is regularly exposed to heavy machinery and noise.

Physical Demands:

While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position working M-F 40 hours per week with occasional overtime. Schedule flexibility is key for this position as pop-up, last minute, possible evenings and weekends are required as job duties demand.

Travel:

Travel may be required for this position as mandated by the needs of the multiple Nationwide locations which would include out-of-area and overnight travel.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Hold or obtain a Class A CDL License
  • Pass a DOT Medical Examination
  • Complete Entry-Level Driver Training Test (ELDT)
  • 3-5 years of experience maintaining a delivery route with excellent customer service
  • Forklift certification
  • Possess a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining a delivery route with excellent customer service
  • Forklift certification
  • Possess or be able to complete requirements for Commercial Driver's License
