Astreya is seeking an AV Installation Technician II to join our on-site team delivering high-quality audiovisual systems installations for corporate and public sector clients.

You will work closely with lead engineers, project managers, and design teams to install, test, and hand over complete AV solutions, including conferencing platforms and room systems, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience installing AV and video conferencing systems in corporate/public sectors.
  • Ability to read technical/construction drawings and schematics.
  • Proven ability to document, report, and analyze installation progress.

Responsibilities

  • Install AV systems to high standards including cabling, containment, and mounting.
  • Coordinate with lead engineers and project manager to meet deadlines.
  • Perform handover checks and assist commissioning and snagging.
  • Provide on-site maintenance, fault-finding and repairs as needed.
  • Attend trainings and share best practices with team.

Job description

**AV Installation Technician II****Role Description:**Working as an AV Engineer you will be a central part of a team delivering industry-leading audiovisual systems installations. Onsite you will set the bar high, delivering your work to a meticulous standard. Advising and closely coordinating with others, including lead engineers and the project manager, you will be part of the team delivering first-class installations in an economical and timely manner. You will be supported by, and be working closely with, multiple parties including Astreya AV lead engineers, control systems programmers, colleagues in project management, our systems design and project engineering teams, and our logistics support operatives.**Responsibilities:*** Provide end-to-end system engineering and quality assurance on a wide range of integrated audiovisual and video conferencing technologies in both the corporate and public sectors.* Have a major input to the success of a project and play a pivotal role in the future success of the company.* Take ownership of the delivery of the AV systems integration process, both on the projects you are assigned to and generally, analysing, documenting and implementing best practises for installation work.**Main Duties:*** Installation of AV systems to the highest standards including - 1st fix works - installing containment, cable pull and structural fixings etc. - 2nd fix install of equipment, patching and configuration - Handover checks & assist with commissioning* Work collaboratively with other members of the install team to achieve deadlines together and of consistent quality* Interpret and follow technical and construction drawings* Preparing equipment and other parts for the next installation* Follow and maintain housekeeping standards onsite* Carrying out maintenance visits (planned and reactive) to fault-find and undertake repairs* Assist in improving efficiency and project delivery by ensuring processes and good working practices are maintained* Attend team briefings and be proactive in providing ideas and suggestions* Report progress and issues to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager to ensure the team meets the project's goals* Providing feedback and support to the Project Manager following completion of an installation, including help with commissioning or snagging* Attend training as appropriate for the role,**Additional Duties (As & When Required):**From time to time, the post holder will also be required to perform additional duties as listed below:***AV Meeting Room Support**** Ensure all multimedia/presentation rooms are maintained in good working order* AV equipment set-up and support* Presentation/multimedia meeting room support, including duration support* Assist with support for multimedia broadcasting* Quick response to emergency/ad-hoc requests***Faults & Room Checks**** Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure* Ensure that all faults are reported in the correct way and in a timely manner* Proactive maintenance/reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly* Providing first-line support, including on-the-spot diagnosis and rectification of minor faults and problems as and when they occur.* Carry out all power down/up when required, usually involving out-of-hours overtime commitments**Experience & Skills Required:*** A positive attitude, a ‘can-do’, ‘team first’ approach to your work.* Flexible approach to working schedules to include out of hours (early or late) and weekends* Working unsupervised when necessary* Read and understand AV schematics* Data gathering, reporting, metrics and administrative skills* AV / VC Systems Knowledge in a Corporate environment ( Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco, Blue Jeans, Pexip, etc.)* Understanding of TCP/IP networking* Understanding of different audio and video protocols and codecs required* Ability to draft and present technical reports in English* Skills and experience that make you proficient in installation of modern audio, videoconferencing and AV systems.* An understanding of the end-to-end complexities of an audiovisual and video installation project.Evening/overnight and weekend working will be required **Salary Range**$21.27 - $33.58 USD (Hourly)
