Job summary
DataVox, Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to join the AV Department. You will install and test AV and network cabling and help configure TVs, projectors, and audio devices in commercial spaces.
The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience with commercial cabling, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. This full-time role offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience with commercial cable installation.
- Experience with network cables (Cat5, Cat6).
- Must pass background check and drug screen.
- Must have own tools within 60 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Installation and testing of AV and network cabling – Cat 5, Cat6, etc.
- Interpret CAD drawings and adhere to AVIXA specs.
- Basic configuration of TVs, projectors, audio, and video devices.
- Install projector screens, TV mounts, speakers, etc.
- Install Audio-Visual equipment and accessories.
