Job Description

As an AV Field Technician, you will be an essential part of our installation team, responsible for:

• Traveling to various high‑end residential and commercial sites to install state‑of‑the‑art AV equipment, including TVs, receivers, in‑wall speakers, projectors, and full‑scale home theater systems.
• Assessing and troubleshooting on‑site to ensure optimal setup and functionality of all systems.
• Working directly with clients to understand their AV needs and preferences, providing top‑notch service and a personalized touch.
• Managing inventory of equipment and tools necessary for each installation.
• Ensuring all installations meet our high standards of safety and quality.

Ideal Candidate & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate possesses the following experience and responsibilities:

• Experience with AV equipment installation in a professional capacity.
• Strong technical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of explaining complex systems in a user‑friendly manner.
• Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
• Holds a valid driver’s license and has access to reliable transportation.
• Willing to undergo a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
• Read and understand complex manuals, drawings, and schematics
• Precisely measure components to ensure fit
• Modify components to meet required specifications
• Put parts together to create more complex pieces

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Certification or diploma from a technical school is preferred but not required
• Previous experience as an Assembler or in a similar role
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Ability to operate machinery and use hand tools
• Strong understanding of quality control principles
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination
