Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking a Programmer to create and modify control system software for integrated Audio Video Systems. You will convert requirements into functional user interfaces and control code, collaborating with stakeholders to meet unique needs.

You will install control programs and touch panel designs onsite, offsite, and remotely, and review work of Associate Programmers to ensure quality. You’ll read AV drawings, gather requirements, create modules and UIs, test, and demonstrate systems to

Qualifications

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ AVI-SPL Associate Programmer experience or three years similar experience outside AVI-SPL.
• Proficient with test and calibration equipment and programming languages.
• Proficient in uploading/downloading software in embedded systems.
• Proficient in control system design (Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC).
• Solid communication skills with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to diagnose and test complex system problems.
• Advanced computer skills for design, configuration, optimization and operations of AV equipment.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines amid changing priorities.
• Understanding of computer networking and troubleshooting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Crestron CTI-P201 or AMX Control Programmer Associate or equivalent.
• Crestron CTI-CTF or equivalent.
• AVIXA Essentials of AV Technology or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret AV system drawings.
• Gather programming requirements.
• Create control modules, control code and user interfaces.
• Mentor Associate Programmers.
• Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of code.
• Test integrated systems and troubleshoot as needed.
• Demonstrate completed system to client.
• Create end-user and programming documentation.
• Maintain and update programming code in installed systems.
• Maintain control code in version control repository.
• Manage projects using dev-ops platform to track issues and deployments.
• Travel to various job sites required.
• Perform additional tasks to support the team and organization.
