Hewshott, a leading acoustics, AV, IT, and theatre consultancy, seeks an Audio Visual (AV) Consultant in Philadelphia for a full-time hybrid role. You will analyze needs, design commercial AV systems, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and prepare BOMs with cost estimates.

Ideal candidates have consultancy or systems integration experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT/EASE, and a passion for performance spaces and technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform needs analysis and document project brief/scope.
• Design and document commercial AV systems for education, theatre, sports, corporate, hospitality.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants and Owner's teams on deliverables and schedules.
• Prepare equipment schedules and bill of materials; provide system descriptions with cost estimates.
• Participate in Teams/Zoom meetings and conduct site visits to venues.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid (mostly remote) role for a Audio Visual (AV) Consultant at Hewshott located in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will:

• Perform needs analysis and document project brief/scope
• Design and document commercial AV systems (educational/professional theatre, sports, corporate/UC, hospitality/landscape)
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., architects, engineers, consultants, Owner's teams) and managing project deliverables and schedules
• Prepare equipment schedules, bill of materials
• Provide descriptions of systems w/ cost estimate ranges
• Participate in Teams/Zoom meetings (internal and client-facing)
• Perform site visits to survey existing venues and systems
• Work independently and take direction from project lead and/or Principal/Partner
• Work an average of 40-hours per week
• Commitment to ethical, independent advice with no supplier bias, aligned with Hewshott’s values and mission.

Prior experience in consultancy or systems integration is highly beneficial.

Qualifications

Candidates should be familiar with various commercial AV types and technical systems. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Proficient in AutoCAD, REVIT (or similar programs), EASE modeling software (or similar programs), and M365. Must be eager to learn and enthusiastic about delivering excellence, collaborating, AV, performing arts, theaters, technology, and how things work.

The following skills/experiences are a plus, but not required:

• AVIXA CTS/CTS-I/CTS-D certifications
• Experience with Bluebeam
• Knowledge of networking (wired, wireless)
• Knowledge of acoustics
• Knowledge of lighting & rigging systems
• Knowledge of architecture
• Knowledge of construction management
• Knowledge of construction means & methods

We Offer

Pay: $65,000 - $80,000 annual salary (depending on experience). Strong candidates may be considered for a Sr. AV Consultant Role.
