Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Auxiliary Operator to join our Tulsa facility and support the safe operation of power plant systems. You will monitor boilers, APC and auxiliary equipment, perform sampling and water treatment as required, and operate heavy industrial equipment.

Rotating 12-hour shifts, with overtime during outages. Candidates should have 2–3 years of heavy equipment experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. We offer comprehensive benefits and a safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; GED Works program offered.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.
• 2–3 years of experience operating heavy industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in safety-compliant manner (boilers, APC systems, ash systems, heavy equipment).
• Monitor boiler plant auxiliary equipment (pumps, motors, fans, dampers, compressors, valves, conveyors, turbines, electrical devices).
• Read meters, gauges and instruments to identify trends or disruptions affecting operations.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment and perform sampling and water treatment as required.
• Safely operate heavy mobile equipment (cranes, skid steers, loaders, forklifts).
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and appropriate pit mixes.
• Support safe and efficient facility operations and uphold Reworld values.

About the role

As an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld's industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, systems include, but are not exclusively limited to boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, and heavy industrial equipment.
• Monitor and inspect various boiler plant auxiliary equipment, including pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators and electrical devices.
• Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and/or potential equipment disruptions that impact facility operations.
• Monitor air pollution control equipment.
• Perform various types of material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water, as required.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment, such as: cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts.
• Responsible to maintain correct levels of refuse-fuel in operations equipment and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and areas of operations.
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred. Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• 2-3 Years experience operating heavy industrial equipment.

It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: 26.01 - 34.57 USD per hour
