Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking an Auxiliary Engineer to support the safe and efficient operation of plant systems under supervision. You will monitor and operate equipment including fans, pumps, baghouse, and wastewater treatment, while logging data and reporting issues.

This hands-on role requires mechanical aptitude, technical training, and strong safety compliance in an industrial setting. Crane operation for waste handling and boiler feed maintenance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Formal technical or apprenticeship training preferred.
• Prior experience operating heavy industrial machinery or strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret operational, safety, and training materials.
• Physically capable of working in an industrial environment.
• Must be able to respond appropriately in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular equipment inspections and data logging.
• Report abnormalities or potential issues and respond as directed.
• Take independent action to protect equipment and ensure safety.
• Support emergency operations when needed.
• Operate the refuse crane and maintain feed levels in boiler hoppers when assigned.

About the role

Job Description The Auxiliary Engineer supports the safe and efficient operation of plant systems and equipment under the general supervision of the Shift Supervisor and direction of the Control Room Operator.

Responsibilities include monitoring, inspecting, and operating equipment such as fans, pumps, the baghouse, and the wastewater treatment system, in accordance with established plant procedures.

• Performing regular equipment inspections and data logging
• Reporting abnormalities or potential issues and responding to them as directed
• Taking independent action when necessary to protect equipment and ensure personnel safety
• Supporting emergency operations when needed

The Auxiliary Engineer may also be assigned to operate the refuse crane, responsible for mixing waste in the pit and maintaining proper feed levels in boiler hoppers.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating heavy industrial machinery or strong mechanical aptitude
• Formal technical or apprenticeship training preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read and interpret operational, safety, and training materials
• Physically capable of working in an industrial environment (mobility, vision, hearing)
• Must be able to respond appropriately in emergency situations

This is a hands-on role in a dynamic environment that requires attentiveness, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.

Total Rewards & Compensation

This role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

The pay rate and benefits will be according to CBA for the role.

The hourly rate for this position is $32.48 per hour.
