Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Validation Lead to drive validation for autonomous machine products in the Irving, TX area. You will shape validation strategy, coordinate cross-functional testing, and lead a team of Validation Engineers across simulation, software, hardware and machine-level testing environments.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement of validation processes, Agile execution, and test automation to accelerate product delivery. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading validation efforts for complex systems and autonomous products.
  • Ability to define validation strategies, plans, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience coordinating validation in Agile release cycles and across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead validation strategy and execution for autonomous machine products and supporting technologies.
  • Manage end-to-end validation processes including requirements traceability, test execution, and defect management.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to Validation Engineers across projects.
  • Integrate validation deliverables into Agile release cycles including sprint planning and reviews.
  • Collaborate with software, controls, systems, simulation, product, and TPM teams to ensure validation coverage.
