Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an Automation Validation Engineer to develop, test, and troubleshoot autonomy software systems used in autonomous haul trucks. You will focus on onboard validation, coordinating with autonomy subsystems, calibration, and ML pipelines, while maintaining strong test documentation and issue communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or CS; related test/development experience acceptable.
Experience with control systems, vehicles, or autonomy is a plus.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Create/update test and development plans for autonomous haul truck testing.
Execute testing on autonomous trucks and analyze data.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues on autonomous trucks.
Document and communicate issues found during testing and write test reports.
Provide recommendations based on testing experience.
Collaborate with team through meetings and handoffs for nightly priorities.
