Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to join the Omen Team at our Costa Mesa HQ. You will tackle diverse problems across networking, autonomy, systems integration, and perception, making pragmatic tradeoffs and ensuring components work together to deliver critical outcomes.

The role requires strong systems-level knowledge, a passion for real-world impact, and travel up to 25% for testing and demonstrations. Eligible for a U.S. Secret clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or physics.
• 3+ years of professional industry experience with C++ or Rust.
• Experience building software solutions with significant data processing and analysis.
• Ability to navigate complex systems and established code bases.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for testing and demonstrations.
• Eligible to obtain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the mission autonomy systems and services deployed to customers.
• Write code to improve products and scale mission capability to more customers.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
• Create and analyze metrics used for debugging and monitoring.
• Triage issues, determine root causes, and coordinate next steps.
• Partner with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing UX with engineering constraints.
• Travel up to 25% to build, test, and deploy capabilities in the real world.
