Job summary

Sabanto, an Illinois-based robotics company, is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to integrate autonomous control systems onto tractors. You will bridge mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines, design electrical systems, develop software, and troubleshoot vehicle integrations in lab and field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with entrepreneurial mindset.
• Organized, disciplined and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Integrate retrofit autonomous control systems onto tractors (row crop and utility).
• Design, build, and validate electrical cable harnesses for vehicle integration.
• Read, interpret, and create vehicle electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Develop and maintain software in C++ and/or Python for embedded systems.
• Design interfaces with sensors, actuators, controllers, and networks.
• Perform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and validation in lab and field.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and manufacturability.
• Document designs, test procedures, and engineering changes; support deployments.
