Job summary

Archer, based in San Jose, CA, is seeking a senior engineer to own and evolve the communication layer for all-electric aircraft platforms. You will develop long-range wireless links, integrate mesh radios into onboard software, and validate multi-platform IP networking with MAVLink telemetry.

The role requires hands-on RF/communications expertise, experience with mesh radios, IP networking, MAVLink, and embedded Linux. Onsite work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in RF/communications engineering or networking-focused software engineering.
  • Experience with mesh radios (Silvus, Doodle Labs, Microhard).
  • Experience with IP networking.
  • Experience with MAVLink or similar telemetry protocols.
  • Experience with embedded Linux systems.

Job description

Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

What you'll do:

  • Background in subscale aircraft or robotics communications architectures

For this position we are targeting a base pay between $140,000 - $260,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
