Job summary

BETA Technologies is looking for a Flight Controls Engineer in South Burlington, VT. You will focus on supporting the development of advanced flight control systems for electric aircraft. This role involves collaboration with behavior management, systems engineering, and flight test teams to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Experience with guidance, navigation, and control (GNC).
• Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time software environments.
• Exposure to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.

Responsibilities

• Support integration and validation of flight control systems.
• Contribute to autonomy architecture and requirements development.
• Develop and execute test plans across various environments.

Skills

Experience with flight control systems

Strong understanding of control systems

Experience with MATLAB/Simulink

Experience developing autonomous systems

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
